In Hospedería Teatrisso you will be staying between ancient walls, you will travel through time. The original house was a house with wine cellar, probably built in the 16th century. The palace was annexed to the main house in the 17th century. Little is known of its past. We don’t know who built it… this is one of the big enigmas of Teatrisso. In the 20s and 30s, an enterprising couple filled the palace with art, music, magic, smiles and tears. First opening a movie theatre in a large room located on the first floor. It was a magical cinema in black and white that was projected on a white sheet. Later, the cinema room became a theatre room, with performances by comedians, clowns, actors and musicians who travelled from village to village. This family also offered dance sessions in the great room located on the lower level. During the Spanish Civil War, the Italian Army occupied the palace. Then there even were more tears and smiles. Italians cooked the best pasta that people ever ate in Cuzcurrita, the village old men say. In the palace, curious paintings full of symbolism were left as legacy (hanging on the walls of the dining room). After the war, the “House of Cavilas” or “Big House” used to be briefly and sporadically inhabited. Adolfo, animals, birds…and again the silence. That magical atmosphere of the 20s and 30s was suspended in time. Then in 2011, another enterprising couple of Logroño was captivated by it and wanted to resurrect it for you to have an unforgettable experience in this unique hotel.
